为更好培养“有思想、有能力、有担当、”、“实践、实干、实用”的高水平国际化经贸人才,在我院领导大力支持与我院老师不懈努力下,经济与贸易学院第一次“英语角”活动于2018年10月11日成功在群贤楼413讨论室展开。本次主题为“Should Cellphone Be Used in College Class”,活动由刘嵘老师主持,嘉宾是我校外教Mr. John, 参与人有来自我院及工商学院各专业20余名学生。
活动伊始,Mr. John简要地介绍了自己的家庭背景、工作经历和生活体验,他丰富的人生经历迅速吸引了大家的注意力,同学们学习热情逐步升温,随后刘嵘老师又通过三个热场活动:“我从未做过的事”、“迅速说出7个某类别的名词”还有“描述我的兴趣”,彻底点燃同学们的激情,帮助同学们克服陌生和不适,释放同学们的热情,并将此次活动推向高潮。最后,进入今日话题,激烈的辩论环节,正反方选手就手机在大学课堂上的使用分别展开论述,双方唇枪舌战、互不相让,精彩绝伦,并引起同学们热议。最后,刘嵘老师和Mr. John讲述了自己对学生上课使用手机的客观感受,引发同学们进行深入思考,并结束了此次活动。
通过举办此次活动,同学们受益匪浅。其一,通过师生交流,对上课使用手机的利与弊进行换位思考,对此认知也更为深刻;其二,通过暖场环节,同学们意识到自己词汇量的不足,也是同学们未来需改进的地方;其三,同学们表达能力、批判性思维能力、口语能力都在此次活动中得到了很好的提升。

In order to better cultivate high-level international economic and trade students .the first English Corner activity of Economics and Trade school was successfully held in the 413 Office of Qunxian Building on October 11, 2018, under the support of our college leaders and the unremitting efforts of our teachers. The theme was should cellphone be used in College class?. The event was hosted by Ms. Liu . The guest was Mr. John, a foreign teacher of our university . The participants are more than 20 students from different majors of our school and business school.
At the beginning of the activity, Mr. John gave us a brief introduction of his family background, work experience and life experience. The students'enthusiasm for learning was gradually inspired. Then we played three games: never have i ever ..., 7 words of a certain topic and My special hobby which thoroughly lit the students' enthusiasm and helped students with easing uncomfortable feelings and embarrassment , and also pushed the activity to a climax. At the end, we had a heated debate , both sides proved their point of view with examples and facts , and tried to persuade each other and aroused heated discussion among students. Finally, Ms. Liu and Mr. John described their objective feelings about students' using cellphones in class, triggered deep thinking among students, and ended the event.
